A Disappointing End
After a great start for the Raiders in the first inning, the team ran into a little bit of bad luck, in their final game of the season, closing out the year with a record of 4-8. In the first inning, with one out Shane Silverence walked and Matt Jakubowski struck out on a passed ball, then the Wagner catcher threw the ball away from first, giving Jakubowski second base and Silverence thirdbase.
Setting up Dillon Greco's two run double into left field. In the bottom half of the inning, Raider southpaw struckout the side all of a sudden the Raiders looked like a dominant team. Bad luck would strike in the bottom half of the second inning, the Wagner hitters caught up with Jarmus' pitches and hit fly balls into the outfield that ended up getting caught in the sun, giving Raider outfielders a very hard time. After the first inning the, the Raiders failed to cash in anymore runs, and slowly watched there season come to a close. The final score of the game would be 12-2. The two years on JV for the Sophmores was up and they look forward to playing on varsity next year with Coach Sce.
