4/22/10 - For the first time this season the girls’ lacrosse team came out of the game with a big win, beating Island Trees 15-13. Playing hard the whole first half, the girls set the bar for the game with the halftime score eight to six in favor of Bethpage. Every team member seemed to play with all her heart, and each was rewarded with a hard-fought victory. Melissa Rohr and Danielle Bergersen scored four goals each, Katie McGowan and Lindsay Cafiero both had two, and Brianne DeNigris, Brittany Bird, and Sam Mercurio netted one each. Coming into the game, these girls wanted nothing more than a win, and that is what they got.
