Eagles Take the District Title by Hayley Davis
Last night at 7 o'clock the East Lake Eagles faced off for the District Title against the Seminole Warriors. The Lady Eagles pitcher, Alyssa Bache, stopped the Warriors from any chance of reaching home plate. Bache only gave up one hit during the whole game. The Eagles finally scored in the 3rd inning. Kirsten Bembnowski started off the inning with a 2 out single, and Hayley Davis hit a single with an error to score Kirsten. The Warriors, Emily Crawford, got a single in the top of the 4th to respond to the score. Only that didn't help because no one could get her around. Later in the game, Sarah Schutz came up to bat and lead off the inning with a hit. A couple batters later Alyssa Weaver drove her in with a hit up the middle. The final score was Eagles 2 Warriors 0. The Eagles face off in regionals on Tuesday night at the East Lake High School. Seminole will travel to Pinellas Park to play in there first regional game. Times will be posted later on.
