Dan Luciano Championship

alpine_lg1

This year Alpine Country Club will host the Dan Luciano Championship for the third time in the history of the tournament.

As the Principal, Athletic Director, or Coach, we need to continue this proud tradition of the Dan Luciano Championship being played on the great country clubs of Bergen County.

We ask that everyone participating in the tournament understand the responsibility and demeanor needed to play and exemplify proper etiquette and sportsmanship. In addition, all rules and regulations listed below are reviewed before signing the entry form.

We are also requesting that your school send a certified faculty member in the absence of the coach to eliminate problematic liability situations. In addition, a school will not be permitted to enter its players unless a faculty member/ coach accompanies a group. A coach must not leave the course site and return at a later time.

The tournament begins at 12:30 and completed by 5:30 barring unforeseen delays.

USGA and Local Rules will prevail.

1. A player may walk the course with a coach using the cart path only May 3rd at

6:00 PM. We are prohibited from using clubs and rolling balls on the greens.

Proper golf attire is required as well.

2. Each coach is responsible for local rules when signing in along with his players.

3. Proper golf attire required. Shorts, jeans, cargo styles, tee shirts, collarless shirts

Prohibited.

4. Smoking or use of other illegal substances will mean disqualification.

5. Soft spikes are required.

6. All divots, ball marks, and the raking of traps are everyone’s responsibility.

7. Cell phones not permitted and must be turned off while on the premises.

8. Slow play will not be tolerated and penalties applied.

9. Each player is required to keep his score and other players in the group.

10. Scores will be given as you pass the clubhouse at the scorer’s table.

11. No artificial devices permitted for measuring or gauging distances

Coaches will be assigned a group or possibly a course location to prevent lost balls and slow play. Carts are not available and coaches should be prepared to walk acting as fore caddies and official scorers.

All rulings will be made by the Committee.
