Countryside offensive lineman Tyler Pierson was a busy boy this week. Saturday, he attended the Elite Scouting Service combine in Tampa, earning rave reviews.
Afterwards, he and his father Floyd headed over to the USF spring game and met some of the Bull coaches.
That night, they drove to Gainesville, where the next day Tyler, a 6-4, 278-pound junior, was one of the top competitors at the invite-only NIKE camp.
On the way home Sunday night, Pierson got a verbal offer from the Colorado State, who have already mailed the official written offer. The offer is Pierson's second, as Kansas mailed him a letter last week with his face on a mock "Wanted" poster.
"It was a busy weekend,'' said Tyler's father, "but a pretty exciting one.''
