All Prell, All Bergen County Boys Basketball Team
This could be one of the youngest first team all-county selections:
Let's meet this year's boys all county basketball team:
Tenafly- Sophomore Chris Orozco and his coach Joe Finizio.
Chris was the most dynamic impact player of 2010. Tenafly made a remarkable turnaround with a 20-5 team record from 4-14 in 2009 and a league title.
As a sophomore, Chris scored 574pts 23ppg and his 1000 2 year career points. Chris shot a sizzling 87% from the foul line 259 out of 297- 8.1 rebounds ppg and 5.4assists pg. The fun part is we can watch him for 2 more years! From Tenafly Chris Orozco
Don Bosco Junior Vaughn Gray and his coach Kevin Diverio
As a junior- Vaughn was the highest rated player by the coaches in the "old NNJIL- or new state conference"
This is a tremendous honor in itself because of the level of competition night in and night out. At 6'5 Vaughn excels in the open court with his size and quickness. He averaged 21.4ppg 5.1 assists and 6.3 rebounds.
A three year varsity player and repeat first team all county selection.
St Mary-Rutherford Kyle Dadika and his coach Matt Stone-
Kyle is a junior forward and averaged 16ppg 13 rbpg and scored in double figures 25 out of 26 games this season.
His inside presence and ability to score on the perimeter led the Gaels to the BCSL National Division Title.
"Kyle was a tremendous presence on offense and defense throughout the year. He is an honor roll student and makes everyone around him better!"- Coach Stone
Old Tappan Junior Shane McLaughlin and his coach Dennis Rossi
Simply put, Shane McLaughlin is the best point guard in Bergen County. He led Old Tappan to a share of the NBIL League Title with Team of the Year Paramus Catholic and a Group 3 State Sectional Title. He was the MVP of the Jack Reilly Holiday Tournament and battled back from a mid-season foot injury. Shane average 16.7 ppg and many times throughout the season scored the most crucial points of a game. He committed less than 3 turnovers a game.
Bergen Catholic Junior Mark Richards and his coach Joe Dinisio-
Mark was instrumental in helping Bergen Catholic compete in this very tough season and reaching the finals of this year's Jamboree- as the 7th seed. "Mark often played his best games in the biggest environments and always was given the toughest defensive assignments"- Coach Dinisio
Some of his highlighted games were against Paramus Catholic-Teaneck-Kennedy and St Joe's-
At 6'4 Mark can score in the paint and has a soft mid-range jumpshot- he averaged 15.1ppg
With this crew of underclassmen coming back next year, we should sit back and enjoy their efforts!
And now our senior first team all county selections:

St Joseph's Kai Dominguez and his coach Mike Doherty-
Quote from coach Doherty: "For the past 3 season Kai has been one of the premier perimeter players in Bergen County. His fearlessness and constant energy led Saint Joseph to back to back league championships, 2 Indian Hills Holiday Festival Titles- 3 consecutive Final Four Jamboree appearances and a varsity record of 62-18 over the past 3 season. Cresskill Senior Tom Hasenstab and his coach Mike Doto
Tom was the number one player in his league and Cresskill's 5'9" point guard-and dynamic leader. He averaged 12.9ppg 4 rbspg 3 assists pg and 2 steals pg. He lead Cresskill to the Group 1/2 team of the year selection, with a league title- All Groups Holiday Tournament title with a thrilling victory over group 4 Ridgewood and a Group 1 State Sectional title.
